About Me
I started my career three years ago after graduating from the Art Institute of Vancouver BC. I went back to school because of my need and desire to design. I used to sketch and draw in my early teens and twenties and it was slowly becoming a distant memory. I needed to embark on a new path and I knew that getting back to my creative side would offer great changes and challenges ahead of me!
I have amazing talent and a great eye for colour, concept & design that I knew I was following my heart. I spent many years living in India being inspired by the beauty of the costumes, make-up and everyday style - which made such an impact in my life.
My desire to transform a blank canvas into a Masterpiece was definitely my calling. With so much colour and thousands of fabric to choose from, my mind was working overtime thinking how I could incorporate all this into someone’s space and make it as beautiful as my eye could see!
While living in Dominican Republic for a year, I felt the summer air breathe through me and yet another sense and concept inspired me to sketch more. I was literally drawn to the beauty of the ocean and warmth of the sand below my feet. I was thinking that things need to feel fresh and bright with the warmth of the sun’s rays glistening off the skin.
All my ideas being kept alive and not knowing at the time what I was going to be doing with all this amazing knowledge! Concepts were appearing before me and I was only at the tip of the iceberg! I spent some time in London and was completely drawn to the English Renaissance era. I knew nothing about it only that I was smitten by the Architecture and vast grandness of the many old structures.
It was completely breathtaking for sure. After hopping over to Italy, I was overwhelmed to be in Rome and swept off my feet in awe of the most beautiful structures that stood before me. I was in a complete state of shock because of the grand exquisite detail of design. Created over 1000’s of years ago, there are so many Chapels and sculptures to begin to name, but the beauty spoke to me. I knew that one day I would create such magnificent timeless spaces for my private clientele.
I have lived and travelled to more than 27 countries around the world and as I continue to grow and gain new experiences, I can truly incorporate the unique blends and sense of design that my clients trust in me to do so!
